Here's a look back at Bleeding Cool's review of last week's episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, 'The Gang Does a Clip Show' to explain how the show can't even do a regular clip show like everyone else – and why that's a good thing; followed by a disturbingly funny example from the episode that proves the point:

The Gang Returns… mostly…. in the 13th season of the FXX original comedy series It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Mac (Rob McElhenney), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Frank (Danny DeVito) return to their duplicitous, scheming ways at Paddy's Pub, while Dennis (Glenn Howerton) takes on the new role of father in North Dakota.
Even without Dennis Reynolds, the Gang has its hands full as Charlie hopes to have a child with The Waitress, Mac sets out to understand his newfound sexuality, Dee takes feminism to new heights, and Frank goes to great lengths for the Gang to experience the greatest moment in Philadelphia sports history – an Eagles Super Bowl victory.

Welcome back to Bleeding Cool's weekly review of FXX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as we offer up our thoughts on a 'very special seventh episode' of season 13, 'The Gang Does a Clip Show.'
We have this long-standing theory about Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Mac (Rob McElhenney), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), and Frank (Danny DeVito) – and from the looks of this week's episode, it might just get proven right. As screwed-up as they are individually, it's always been in our best interests (and by 'our' I mean 'the very fabric of reality') that they're constantly self-absorbed and distracted by the 'next great idea' because the very thought of the damage that fivesome could inflict if they pulled their brains together for something deep and meaningful is…well…downright marrow-chilling.
And then their smart phones needed to update…at the same time…for thirty minutes. Uh-oh…
So check out our review of FXX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia s13e07 'The Gang Does a Clip Show' and see how a show can take a layered approach to themes like identity, perception, memory and reality – and still start off with DeVito's bare ass.
Spoiler Warnings: I'll be covering some themes and takeaways involving major and minor plot points from the episode, so just keep that in mind. Definitely not looking for pitchforks and torches outside my apartment.https://youtu.be/qSIqPyNai_oVideo can't be loaded because JavaScript is disabled: It's Always Sunny S13E07 'The Gang Does a Clip Show' as Only The Gang Can – Bleeding Cool (https://youtu.be/qSIqPyNai_o)
